Revelation, Chapter 11. Satan is on his temporary thrown in Jerusalem at this time, but only for a five month period of time. This Chapter is very important and you should have no trouble in learning it.Chapter11 also concerns the last 10 days of being in our flesh bodies as we know them and 3½ days until the end of this Earth age as we know it.
So with that said let’s ask for a word of wisdom from our Father in Jesus name, Amen.
Rev11:1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. John, in His spiritual body on the Lord's, the last day of this earth age, is given a rod to measure the temple, the Altar, and them that worship within. The rod for measuring in this verse is not to build but to destroy. Greek word for rod is rhapizō=rhä-pē'-zō and the meaning is to strike, smite - to let fall, of judgment to be executed by Christ upon the nations. To smite with a rod or staff. Now remember, satan is in Jerusalem looking like, and playing Jesus deceiving the whole world and returned at the sixth trumpet in which we are still in at this study, so the measuring rod is to destroy satan’s temple, his altar, and them, meaning the people that followed satan and received his mark and are in satans camp, or in this case his temple.
This will be a very sad moment for all, including God, because after all, they are His children. Jesus Christ is so near to returning at this time. A fake god is in God’s Temple and His favorite place in the universe and He is not happy at this time. Remember Jesus told us who will be sitting in Jerusalem in 2Thess2? This will be that time.
2Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 2Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
Let’s go more into detail about this rod because it was foretold of long before Christ walked in His flesh body. The Old Testament tells us everything man needs to know about past, present, and future so the Old Testament is not old at all. Lam 2:8 The LORD hath purposed to destroy the wall of the daughter of Zion: he hath stretched out a line, he hath not withdrawn his hand from destroying: therefore he made the rampart and the wall to lament; (to cry or to be very sad) they languished together. Lam 2:9 Her gates are sunk into the ground; he hath destroyed and broken her bars: her king and her princes [are] among the Gentiles: the law [is] no [more]; her prophets also find no vision from the LORD. We are getting very close to this time if you look at this world and the shape it is in right now.
Ok, let's get get back to Revelation
Rev11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. Gentiles= ethnos==e'-thnos meaning the ethnic people of the world. A multitude of individuals of the same nature or genus, the human family, a tribe, nation,
This is talking about the 10 tribes who are scattered all over the world at this present time. These tribes of people are not in satan’s temple so they are not included in the destroying of satan’s temple for they did not follow satan.
satan is in God’s Holy City for only five months because God shortened satan’s days as we went over in Rev9:5. satan will tread the city under foot is in months. Anytime months are mentioned it pertains to satan because months equals moons. (Lunar) satan goes by moons or months. Rev 9:5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment [was] as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.
11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, Here we have thousand two hundred and threescore days, (solar) so Christ is talking about what pertains to God / Christ. Christ will give two witnesses great power and they will prophesy in sackcloth, not as a Religious figure dressed in high figured Priest’s clothes.
The prophecy given in days pertaining to this verse from the time it was prophesied till the time of this event will be a 10 day period of time in which these two will prophesy. This means they will be on earth 7 days before satan for a total of 10 days. You will see why later. This is the same period of time (10 days) that God’s elect will have when delivered up to satans councils as written in Revelation2:10. Rev 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast [some] of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
Who are these two witnesses? It is really not written, however there were two men of God that God Himself had taken up to Heaven and they are Moses and Elijah. If these are the two witnesses we will have to wait and see. Now we will see who they represent in the next verse.
11:4 These are the two olive trees, ( two witnesses) and the two candlesticks (Churches) standing before the God of the earth. Again, our Father tells us all things. These two olive trees were prophesied 1000’s of years ago. They are the two anointed ones and stand by the Lord of the whole earth being fed by the Holy Spirit of God and they will feed the elect that are delivered up at this time of the same Holy Spirit. That’s why they are not to premeditate what they will say when delivered up to satan or his councils.
Zec 4:11 Then answered I, and said unto him, What [are] these two olive trees upon the right [side] of the candlestick and upon the left [side] thereof? Zec 4:12 And I answered again, and said unto him, What [be these] two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden [oil ] (Holy Spirit) out of themselves?
Zec 4:13 And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these [be]? And I said, No, my lord. Zec 4:14 Then said he, These [are] the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.
Now remember going over the seven Churches and which ones Christ found no fault in and loved because the Churches or candlesticks taught who the Kenites, the sons of Cain are. This was covered in Rev2 & 3. These two witnesses represent the only two Churches that Christ loved so that is who the two witnesses will be. Representatives of the two Churches and will prophesy to the people of the world one last time. I might add this will be the last time.
Rev 2:8 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; Rev 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and [I know] the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but [are] the synagogue of Satan. Rev 3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
Rev 3:8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. Rev 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
Smyrna and Philadelphia. Christ told us about the only two Churches that will make it long before the two witnesses come into be. He told us everything.
11:5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. These two witnesses will have the authority and power that no man in the flesh can kill them and if any man hurts them, they have signed their own death warrant upon themselves, no doubt body and soul. I say in the flesh because harm will come to the two witnesses by satan only. Their enemies naturally will be the ones that follow satan and his systems. Political and most important the Religious system under the control of satan at this moment and for sure the 7000 that refused to be born of woman as written in the book of Jude.
11:6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. Such power as man in this time and age has never seen before so I’m sure they will get the attention of many, many people. God has given this power to them for His plan and to be fulfilled in these final days of us (people) in these flesh bodies. The waters if you remember are people of the world as stated in Rev17:10.
11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. The two witnesses will finish their testimony without any problem.
The entity of satan, the devil, the morning star, or whatever name you call him is the same as in Rev.9 so no mistake can be made on who will kill the two witnesses. Why does satan kill them? To show he is god (small g) so more people will follow him. That is why no flesh man can kill them. If you take note we are talking about minute by minute activities here.
Make no mistake this is talking about satan who kills them. Rev 9:11 And they had a king over them, [which is] the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue [is] Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath [his] name Apollyon.
11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. (Jerusalem) spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, Sodom = "burning==odoma==so'-do-m, a city destroyed by the Lord raining fire and brimstone on it. A Canaanite city, usually paired with Gomorrah, located in the area of the Dead Sea and the Jordan River; both cities destroyed by God in judgment.
Egypt===Aigyptos==ī'-güp-tos metaph. Jerusalem, for the Jews persecuting the Christ and his followers, and so to be likened to the Egyptians treating the Jews. These were two bad periods of time in history and we know where our Lord was crucified.After satan kills the two witnesses their dead bodies will lay in the street. Why? Satan and his followers want the whole world to see that they are dead. It won’t be as Christ’s body was placed in a tomb. Satan wants the world to see this so I’m sure it will be carried over TV, Internet, Phones, and what ever technology can broadcast this event. Don’t forget satan is playing god and the more souls he can bring to death the better for him because he knows he has “but a short time”.
Let’s take the word street. Street == agora- from ageiro (to gather) any assembly, especially of the people==the place of assembly--for public debating,--for elections--for trials. So the whole world will see the two witnesses be killed and lie in a large open area.
11:9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. Who will see all this? people and kindreds and tongues and nations Satan will not allow their bodies to be buried; however God’s plan is in action as you will see. Satan wants the world to see so more people will follow him.
Now we are down to 3 ½ days until Jesus returns. Wow!
11:10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth. Now we have a party going on. People who think satan is Christ are living it up because they don’t have to hear the two witnesses any more so they think. What a shame. So sad, if only they would have read our Fathers word and not followed the traditions of man.
11:11 And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. spirit of life from God entered into them. What does this mean? Our Father created us so He has the power to do with our soul that is within our bodies what every His will not our will might be. God has the power to let our soul live forever or let it die forever in the lake of fire. By that being said God allowed the two witnesses soul to re enter their bodies therefore bring them to life again as they stood upon their feet shall happen as God said it will happen.
Now the great fear (dread, terror-a paralyzing fear) that fell upon the people that watch this great miracle surely will put a stop to the celebration that will be going on and a lot of people will stop in their tracks and realize they were worshiping satan and not Christ.
Imagine two dead bodies laying in an big open arena (street) for 3 ½ days and the whole world is watching on TV or whatever then all of a sudden their soul returns to their bodies and they stand on their feet.
Such terror as never seen before to those who are with the antichrist better know as satan. God have mercy on their souls.
11:12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them. The great voice of course is God, and he is bringing the two witnesses up to heaven; and their enemies, the ones that followed satan, the millions and millions of people who followed satan, are watching the two witnesses come to life and go to heaven. Now this will all happen within seconds because as the two witnesses are ascending to heaven as Christ is returning here to earth. This is the return of Christ that all Christians look forward to. The 7th trumpet, as you will see in the next few verses. What does this mean? The rider of the first white horse as so many people will or do believe it is Christ, is satan because Christ does not return until the 7th trumpet.
11:13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven. slain of men seven thousand – These are the 7000 un-natural brute beasts who refused to be born of woman who tried to stop the seed line of Christ as written in the book of Jude. They will die spiritually instantly. Jude 1: 6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Remnant – is God’s elect and gave glory to the God of heaven.
This is the second woe of the woe judgments to earth.
11:14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly. The second woe is past.
11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. Yes, here is the 7th trumpet, when our Lord and Saviour returns and destroys the temple of satan and binding satan again in the pit for 1000 years. Keep in mind; we were talking in days, then minutes, now seconds. The 7th trumpet brings all this action to pass. At this point, the millennium starts; we return to our spiritual bodies and are in the 3rd earth age.
11:16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, The 12 disciples and the 12 patriarchs fall down and worship God and every knee will bow at this time.
11:17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O LORD God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. This is self explanatory.
11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy (corrupted) the earth. At this time we won’t go into much detail about what happens here because we will go over this a little later, however I do want to touch on this verse a little because it has to do with the end time of the world as we know it as far as future world wars and what many believe. The above verse is talking about Hamongog and Armageddon.
So many believers believe these the above two names are names of future wars. In a sense that is true because Hamongog will be Nations against Israel and Armageddon will be against Judah in which the people of Judah returned to Israel in 1948 when The Nation of Israel began. Israel, the 10 tribes are scattered all over the world.
Armies of Islamic Nations like Iran and others that at this moment have the Nation of Israel in a sense surrounded if you look a map of the land in the Gulf region.
To make a long story short at the seventh trumpet the Nations that surround Israel will start marching towards Israel to destroy it and Russia with other Nations will march towards the US, Canada, England, or the Christian Nations.
This will never happen as far a as a full out World War because remember, Christ returns at this moment and wipes out in His own way all the armies of the world. This will only take seconds. When Christ returns this Earth age ends as we know therefore a physical war between Nations will not happen.
Now what does Hamongog mean and was it written about before? Hamongog = Hamon-gog = "multitude of Gog"--the name to be given to a valley of graves; ravine or glen, now known as 'the ravine of the passengers', located on the east side of the Dead Sea.
Ezekiel told us about this event that will take place at the return of Jesus. Eze 39:11 And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the [noses] of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call [it] The valley of Hamongog.
Eze 39:12 And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land. Eze 39:13 Yea, all the people of the land shall bury [them]; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD.
Now for Armageddon= Ar·ma·ged·don the place where the final battle will be fought between the forces of good and evil, however not a physical war because God will cut them down not man at the battlefield of Megiddo. Rev 16:12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. Rev16:16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. Don’t get upset if you do not get the full picture here ok because we will cover it again later
11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail. ark of his testament. This is in Heaven and was taken their by one of God’s prophets because man could not, nor would not follow the laws of God.
Man has been searching for this since it was taken. Of course man doesn’t seem to understand this Ark of God’s Testament is not on this planet anymore. What is this? It is the Law, the 10 commandments that was written by the hand of God and given to Moses. The Ark also contains manna that fed the people that came out of Egypt with Moses and the Mercy seek that God sat on when He was with the children of Israel in the wilderness. I know this Chapter is a very long one, but most important it is very in depth so I pray you take your time with it because if you ever wondered what it will be like in the last 3 and ½ days in this world as we know it this is it.
