We are going to hear what Jesus says about the Church of Sardis and Philadelphia. Keep in mind the message to the seven Churches represent the Churches of the world today.

               So with a word of wisdom from our Father in Jesus name, Amen.               

Rev3:1  And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
Sardis = "red ones "a luxurious city in Asia Minor, the capital of Lydia
seven spirits of God = the Holy Spirit- seven stars = messengers of God bringing the Holy Spirit.
This Church has many different religions.  The Church worries about commerce and their Church buildings more then they worship God. Many different religions were set up so this Church is alive, but dead in teaching His word and serving God. So this Church has to repent and stop having so many different denominations. Sounds like we are in this time because we have so many and there should only be one and that is one that teaches God's word more then one verse per week.

Rev3:2  Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
Jesus is telling this Church to perk up there works, their teachings which they are doing for God, but they kept hanging on to different religions and traditions of man.

This is not good. This is not a Church you want to belong to.

Rev3:3  Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
The Church received the word, but hangs on to false religions. They went away from God's word yet if they repent they will be in good standing. Christ will come as a thief in the night then this Church will follow the instead of Jesus or the antichrist because they do not listen to the word of God. Money and false religions is their thing.

 Rev3:4  Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
Even in this low place of worship there are some who walk with God.
names -- What? Our Father keeps names. He sure does. Every soul with every name is written in His book. He keeps great records in the book of life. So some people in this Church has not defiled his or her garment and shall walk with Him.
How do you receive the white garment and who are these people?
Rev7:14  And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

 Rev3:5  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
It is an easy thing to do to receive the white garments and not to be blotted out of the book of life, yet so many will not follow our Father through Jesus Christ. It is so sad. Every knee will bow before the Lord Jesus Christ. I cannot wait for this so they know the true Father.
Does this Church really want it to be as the verse below?
Rev20:12  And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is [the book] of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

dead - (Dead means spiritually dead only)

Works—This is what you will take with you when Christ returns. Only your works that you do on this earth now for your Father. 

 Rev3:6  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
As your eyes can see, May you also hear what the Holy Spirit says to you or your Spirit, Soul.

 Now for the other Church that Christ loves and found no wrong in it. This is the Church you want to be in, however finding one is very hard to do in these end times.
Rev3:7  And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
What is this key of David?  God told the Prophet Isaiah about this Key of David and Jesus holds the key of David for He is the living word.
Isa22:22  And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.
To have the key of David is to know the truth, the seals, trumpets, and vials.  To know who returns to this Earth first, what happened in the Garden of Eden, To know the parable of the Fig Tree, to know who the sons of Cain are, (Kenites) and so on.  No one can take this truth from you for the living word is the truth. Jesus is that living word.

 Rev3:8  I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
An open door, WOW! This Church teaches the truth. They did not stray from the word of God nor followed the traditions of men. The Church was powerful but had little following because they taught the truth.

It's still the same today with this Church that's why it is so hard to find a Church like this one.  How many Churches teach that satan returns to this Earth first before Jesus? How many know who the Kenites are?  How many know about the 6th day and the 8th day creation? 

If you know these things you have the truth, the key of David. Because through the loins of David came Christ. Yahshua Messiah Jesus the Christ. Yahaveh's Saviour, the Anointed One.

 Rev3:9  Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
Who is of the synagogue of satan?  The ones that had Christ crucified. Not the Roman army, but the sons of Cain, the Kenites. Jesus tells us in Matt13.
Matt13:35  That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.
13:36  Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.
His disciples did not understand this parable. So when the Kenites, the Jews that say they are Jews but are not were sent away Jesus explained it to them.  The Jews that say they are Jews but are not are not part of the 12 tribes of Israel. They say they are. They lie. Why? Because satan is the father of them and was a liar from the beginning.

 Christ now explains the mystery.
13:37  He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; Jesus Christ
13:38  The field is the world; (this world age) the good seed are the children of the kingdom; (the King and His dominion). but the tares are the children of the wicked [one]; The wicked one is satan.
13:39  The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; (age) and the reapers are the angels.
13:40  As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. (age)
We will get into this later, however for now Cain was the first murderer and Cain's father was satan. satan beguiled (Wholly seduced) Eve.  I might add that "whom so ever will" even the Kenites (sons of Cain) will believe upon Christ and repent they can be saved from this fire in which is the second death. Death of the soul.

 Rev3:10  Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
This hour of temptation is when satan is cast out of Heaven to this earth and sets up his throne in Jerusalem. So many will follow because most Churches do not teach what the Church of Philadelphia teach, so sad. More when we get to Chapter17. I'll just say for now nobody will fly away. We will still be in our flesh bodies if we are still living.
To a believer of truth people will not be tempted because they don't find satan tempting.

 Rev3:11  Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
Hang on to the truth and let no man deceive you nor follow the traditions of men.

 Rev3:12  Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, [which is] new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and [I will write upon him] my new name.
What a promise from our Father.

 Rev3:13  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

 Rev3:14   And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
Jesus was in the beginning.
Laodicea = "justice of the people" a city of Phrygia, situated on the river Lycus not far from Colosse. It was destroyed by an earthquake in 66 A.D. and rebuilt by Marcus Aurelius. It was the seat of the Christian church.

 Rev3:15  I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
This Church does not stand for anything. It flops this way and that. For example, is this political correct and what's morally correct. Should we teach the word of God or let someone tell us what to do. They are neither cold nor hot on any subject. A church that stands for nothing is nothing. This applies to people also. Either they believe or they don't. Do not listen to "well this person said so or this person said this".

 Rev3:16  So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
WOW! God finds this Church very disgusting because this Church will not make a stand for the word of God. The Church are man pleasers. Do what the board members want that's it. Just being lukewarm does not cut it for our Father.  Jesus is saying for those people that flip flop around with God's word. I will spue thee out of Heaven.

 Rev3:17  Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
The Church and people feel that they are rich. They are rich with the ways of the world. This is what our Father thinks about the Church and people who are in this Church. On Judgment day what works will they be judged for because they are just lukewarm.
Remember, These Churches are symbolic of the Churches today and what they teach.
This Church and people do not know what the parable of the Fig Tree is. This Church will not teach the book of Revelation. Does yours?

 Rev3:18   I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and [that] the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
God is a consuming fire. He is even giving this Church advise. Search His word for the truth. His word will either stay hold with you or it won't. His word and the truth can still allow you to be clothed in white. Learn what the two Churches taught that Christ loves and found no fault with ( Smyrna and Philadelphia. The two that has the key of David by knowing who our enemy's are, and they are the Kenites. Learn the key of David which is the truth of God's word and not man's. Learn the parable of the Fig Tree as Christ told us to do.
Matt24  Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves,  ye know that summer [is] nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, [even] at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Another example. Know that Easter is a Pagan holiday. On the day that Christ was nailed to the Cross, so many celebrate that day as Easter because the word Easter is mentioned one time in the Bible. How did that word enter into the Bible. The Kenites, the son's of Cain who's father is satan.
Teach the children that Easter is the day the Lord was hung on the cross and died and the resurrection of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. That day is Passover. So many think that Passover is a Jewish thing.

No problem with the Eggs and Candy just know what happened on that day man knows as Easter.

 Facts: The worship of Easter was basically an orgy,  The Hebrew word for Easter is [pacah] paw-sach;  in Hebrew in the Strong's concordance, in which the true meaning is to hop, jump, etc. Did you ever here the phrase "quick like a rabbit"?  The name "Easter" comes from the name of the Babylonian and Assyrian goddess Ishtar. If you do a search on the word [Ishtar], you will find it is a pagan holiday, a fertility right, an orgy, rolling eggs, and this went on at one point in time and God hated it.
Acts12:4 And when he had apprehended him, he put [him] in prison, and delivered [him] to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.

 Rev3:19  As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Christ loves and will chastise us. As long as we focus and remain true to His word then all we have to do is repent and say with meaning. Father forgive me for what I have done. Do it in Jesus name amen. Your sin will then be forgiven you.

 Rev3:20  Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
It's a shame. All people, His children has to do is knock on His door. Open His book and He will here and open His door. So say, so many don't knock.  Christ will not beg anyone to come to Him. It is up to His children to do so. All He wants is our love.

 Rev3:21  To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
Just think of it. Christ will grant "whom so ever will" to sit with Him at His throne. For if you seen the Son you will have seen the Father.

 Rev3:22   He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
This completes the message to the seven Churches. So read the last verse again. "He that hath an ear" and think about your Church and which one you want to be a part of.
