The Messages to the Churches are over, so here we go by asking Father for a word of wisdom in Jesus name, Amen.
Rev4:1 After this I (John) looked, and, behold, a door [was] opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard [was] as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
Trumpet means charge. Christ will now charge and tell us what the future will be. The door is opened and John is told to come up to Heaven. In Ch1:10 we were taken with John to the Lord's day and shown what was happening on earth.
A lot of people think this verse pertains to the rapture, fly away theory, mostly because the Church is not mentioned. The Church is mentioned in Ch22 so the Churches are still here. The 7 Churches we just went over.
Rev22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, [and] the bright and morning star.
So you can see how man and his traditions pull many from the truth. If you want to start reading about the Rapture before we get to it in Chapter6 you can do a search for rapture on any search engine, such as Google.
It is very easy to find. It started in 1830.
Rev4:2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and [one] sat on the throne.
Now we are switching back to Heaven. John is in his spiritual body on the Lord's Day and sees a throne and guess who is sitting on it? Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Now try to come to the Lord's Day as John is. He is being shown and is writing what the future holds. Just before and during this day. The Lord's Day.
Rev4:3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and [there was] a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.
Jasper stone is a precious stone of various colors. Purple is the color for royalty. A Sardine stone is a precious stone from Sardis Red in color. These two stones are the first and last stone on the priests’ robe and breastplate of the kings in days of old.
Now, it is important to know the genealogy of Christ and it can be found in Luke, in which he comes from the King line and the Priest line, making him King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Now the rainbow is the Shechinah glory. The presence of God. The visible majesty of the divine presence. John is seeing God on his throne and the brilliance and brightness that shines forth from it. To be in the presence of God, Wow! Just think of John for a second.
Rev4:4 And round about the throne [were] four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
Twelve of the elders are no doubt the 12 patriarchs, or the 12 heads or leaders of the 12 tribes of Israel. The seed line in which Christ would come through; from Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. This is told of in the book of Genesis.
The other 12 elders are the 12 apostles of Christ. Of course we will not know this for sure, however it only makes sense. We will go into more of the 12 Tribes of Israel in Ch7.
The white raiment is your righteous acts (Rev20;12), your works that you do here on earth in your flesh body, the only thing that goes along with you when you enter heaven. The more righteous acts you have, the better white raiment you’ll have.
Rev4:5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and [there were] seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
John is hearing the voice of Christ.
What are the 7 spirits of God? "power, riches, wisdom, strength, honour, glory, and blessing".
Rev4:6 And before the throne [there was] a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, [were] four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
sea of glass is a sign of purity. No evil can enter the throne.
The four beasts or living ones are the Zoa' in the Hebrew, Zoon in the Greek. God created them for the purpose of protecting His throne. The Zoa' are the same beasts (Cherubim) of Genesis 3:24.
Gen3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
Not that God's throne needs protecting, however, in the first earth age, God entrusted his throne to someone, then that someone's ego or head must have gotten big, because it caused God to destroy the first Earth age and bring this one forth. This someone is better known as satan, in which his beauty was great. The worst part is that 1/3 of God's creation (children) followed satan in that 1'st Earth age and now in this Earth age they are being born of woman. Most, I feel, born in this end generation for the purpose of leading people away from God. For example, removing God out of our vocabulary, bad teachers at the pulpit, Religious war, etc.
satan - cherub that was with God and covereth his throne as written in Ezekiel.
Eze 28:12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, (satan) and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.
Eze 28:14
Thou [art] the anointed
cherub that covereth; and I have set thee [so]: thou wast upon the holy
mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of
fire.
Eze 28:15
Thou [wast]
perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was
found in thee.
Rev4:7 And the first beast [was] like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast [was] like a flying eagle.
Now here is the description or insignia of the beasts and their meaning. The following is how the tribes were in formation when encamped at night.
Numbers2:2 Every man of the children of Israel shall pitch by his own standard, with the ensign of their father's house: far off about the tabernacle of the congregation shall they pitch.
Lion = Tribe of Judah insignia facing East
Calf = Ox or straight legged. This is the sign of Ephraim or the eldest of the 12 sons facing West.
Face as a man = the sign of Ruben facing South.
Eagle = symbol of Dan, North side
Rev4:8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about [him]; and [they were] full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
Now Ezekiel had seen these same beasts as God's throne and the Ark of the Covenant came to Earth aboard a highly polished vehicle. I know this will sound strange to you so you can read about this in EzekielCh1.
Eze1:4 And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness [was] about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, (highly polished bronze) out of the midst of the fire.
Eze1:5 Also out of the midst thereof [came] the likeness of four living creatures. And this [was] their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.
Eze1:6 And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.
Eze1:7 And their feet [were] straight feet; and the sole of their feet [was] like the sole of a calf's foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass.
Eze1:10 As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.
Holy, Holy, Holy = God's holiness is proclaimed.
Which was, and is, and is to come = God is the same yesterday, today, and will be forever.
Rev4:9 And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,
Rev4:10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
Rev4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Glory, Honor, and Power symbolize the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Our Father did create everything and He created us for His pleasure as written. For all souls are His as written.
Ezek 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
