Revelation Made Known

           Chapter 5                     Take Me to Home Page   Chapter6

Rev5:1  And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.

God is on His throne and John sees the scroll of the seven seals that is to be taught in our churches today. Now this scroll is sealed, not opened, and you will find that only one person is worthy to open the seals so the scroll can be read. This book is the same book that Ezekiel had seen in his time.

Eze2:9  And when I looked, behold, an hand [was] sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book [was] therein;

 Rev5:2  And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?

strong - meaning in the Greek is (of one who has strength of soul to sustain the attacks of Satan, strong and therefore exhibiting many excellences) Remember, John is on the Lord's day at this time. He is in Heaven.

Rev5:3  And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.

The state of being degraded by saying no one is worthy to open the book.  No one, no where, no how is worthy.

 Rev5:4  And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.

John is crying because no one was found worthy to open the seals.  But praise be to God for the blood of the Lamb. Without Christ being perfect, and nailed to the cross the seals would not have been opened, nor would anyone make it to heaven.

1Cor15:55  O death, where [is] thy sting? O grave, where [is] thy victory?

1Cor15:57  But thanks [be] to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

 Rev5:5  And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

Elders - the twenty-four members of the heavenly Sanhedrin or court seated on thrones around the throne of God.

12 patriarchs (tribes) and 12 apostles. John is now comforted by one of the elders.

Lion of the tribe of Juda-Judah = "praised"- the son of Jacob by Leah - the tribe descended from Judah the son of Jacob

Root of David-David = "beloved" - youngest son of Jesse and second king of Israel

What is being said here is that Christ is part of the King line and through the lines of David through Mary, who was of the King and Priest lines, Christ was born, making Him King of Kings and Lord of Lords.  So John is being told that Christ is the only one that is worthy to open the seals.

If you have that key of David that unlocks the truth and you can understand the seals (That, no one can take away from you), you are truly blessed.

 Rev5:6  And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

seven in the Hebrew means spiritual completeness. These 7 spirits are the spirits of God.  As the holy spirit of God that sends His truth to His election on Earth.

Zec3:9  For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone [shall be] seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

Zec4:10  For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel [with] those seven; they [are] the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.

God's word and God's teachers are to keep the word of God straight by teaching the truth.

 Rev5:7  And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.

Jesus now has the scroll or book.

Rev5:8  And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four [and] twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.

Your prayers are heard, so if anyone ever says to you, do you think God hears our prayers? He does. Every one of them, and not only that; He has them stored in a vial.

 Rev5:9  And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

This is the song, in Deut 32, the over comers will sing on that new day.

 Rev5:10  And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

This will be the 1000 years or the millennium.  A 1000 years of teaching when Christ returns.

Rev20:4  And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and [I saw] the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received [his] mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

 Rev5:11  And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;

You cannot count all of the saints in Heaven. They are innumerable - you can't count them all because there are so many that made it.  Who are these saints?  People that passed on to the Lord that kept the faith and the words of the living word of Jesus Christ.

 Rev5:12  Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

Here are the 7 spirits of God in vs 6. Count them. The seven spirits of God that go forth to them that have eyes to see and ears to hear.  I pray that you are one of these people. Remember God, for He only wants your love.

Power - God Is the Power, God Has the Power.

Riches – God provides all of the riches, of which man cannot fully comprehend.

Wisdom - All wisdom comes from our heavenly father.

Strength -  If you truly love the Lord through the Holy Spirit, he will give you all the strength you need to combat any problems that may arise.

Honor - Doing God's Will with Honor and doing it right.

Glory - Giving worship to God and appreciating Him and His Word.

Blessings - God's Spirit always brings Blessings.

 Rev5:13  And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, [be] unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.

The Honor and Power will always be God's, for he is the same, yesterday, today and tomorrow.  God's Word protects you from the spiritual battle of this world; good vs. evil, and prepares you to stand against the rider of the first horse, which is satan at the sixth trump.

 Rev5:14  And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four [and] twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.

The 12 patriarchs and the 12 apostles, and the 4 beasts fell down and worshipped God.
